Year 6 Indonesian Market Day

On Thursday 10th September, our Year 6 students hosted a wonderful Indonesian Market Day in the school gym. The event was a fantastic celebration of learning, culture and teamwork, with stalls featuring Indonesian food, drinks and games.

We were delighted to invite the Year 2 students from the Junior Primary School to join in the fun, and we also thank the many parents and caregivers who came along to see the students’ hard work.

It was especially lovely to see that word had spread through the community about this special event, with three Indonesian ladies generously offering their time to help on the day.
Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised $1400 ($700 profit) for the school. We hope to use this money to update our collection of Indonesian games and musical instruments for future learning.

A heartfelt thank you to all staff who helped in the lead-up and on the day — supporting stalls, cooking, cleaning, supervising and timekeeping. We especially thank the Year 6 teachers for their flexibility and support throughout the term.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.
